Cult of Green Lady

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Just reading up on AoW and am coming across this in the description of Diamond Lake but I can't find any background. Anyone know where it is?

I had trouble finding it too. Since they get there by boat, it's presumably on the lakeshore, and reasonably far from Diamond Lake (or they'd just walk there). I put it in the opposite direction of the Whispering Cairn, to help explain why they hadn't noticed that the Cairn was open.

It's turned out to be quite important in my game; the PCs allied with Amariss and her daughter Meryl and relied heavily on them in things like organizing the Great Wormspawn Hunt in the hills around Diamond Lake.

Unless I'm totally off, James Jacobs' character Tyralandi Scrimm fell in with this cult.

I believe he stated that they were located somewhere in the Cairn Hills. Maybe the exact location hasn't been specified?

From the AoW Overload:

Far less welcoming are the brooding inhabitants of the Cairn of the Green Lady, a reclaimed tomb on the opposite shore of Diamond Lake itself. Cloaked in robes of green and quick to threaten outsiders, these two-score devotees of the death goddess Wee Jas honor a fallen saint of that deity with mournful prayers to departed spirits and mysterious explorations of the hills nearby. They base themselves in the tomb of this departed servant of the Dark-Eyed Lady, whom they believe died during a great migration of humans across the treacherous hills more than a thousand years ago. Diamond
Lake’s Governor-Mayor Lanod Neff trusts the cultists only because they protect the town’s boneyard from the sinister attentions
of the community’s most depraved residents. The order’s leader, the enchanting
Amariss (LN female human cleric 6),is always on the lookout for new recruits.

I hope this helps.

Reading the Tyralandi Scrimm campaing log delivers a lot of "director's cut" info on stuff like this. Check it out to see Tyralandi's own interactions with Amariss and crew.

The cult was originally introduced in the Doomgrinder adventure. The Cairn of the Green Lady is located on the southern shore of Diamond Lake, not far from the Stirgenest Cairn. In 586 CY, a frost barbarian cleric of Wee Jas named Nohrtan had a dream in which he was entreated by the Green Lady (a Suloise priestess of Wee Jas died in the Cairn Hills) to gather followers and protect her tomb from heathens. The cult finally arrived 4 years ago in 591 CY. Other members included Olan, Lehja, and Willam of Tenh. Amariss, as far as I'm aware, was created by Erik Mona. What happened to Nohrtan and why none of the others made it into the Age of Worms Overload is a mystery to me. In my campaign I told my players that Nohrtan disappeared in 592 CY while exploring the Cairn Hills. Perhaps he was a victim of the Faceless One or something else.
