Are there any plans to include fold out maps in Pathfinder similar to the ones included with backdrop articles in Dungeon?
Thanks!
Not at this point. We aren't pollybagging Pathfinder (mostly because we want customers to be able to flip through it before buying, but also because pollybaging is expensive as heck), so any fold-out poster maps we include have to be either glued in with that sticky glue stuff, or on a perforated strip so the map can be torn out. We don't really have the budget to do this with Pathfinder yet, nor do we want to add too many new elements all at once (let us get Pathfinder's physical format set in stone first!), but that doesn't mean that we'll never do poster maps for Pathfinder.

Releasing map tiles or fold out maps of areas and encounters from Pathfinder is absolutely a possibility, and if we're going to do some big maps, it's pretty likely that we'll take this route rather than bundle them in with volumes of Pathfinder itself. Which would make the maps more of an optional/deluxe supplement rather than something intrinsic to the Adventure Path itself.

I suppose someone has suggested releasing rolled (no creases), print quality maps that have some merit as a work of art (in the eyes of gamers).
I for one would buy all of them.

I am 100% okay with paying extra for map tiles/poster maps that go with Pathfinder. That will keep costs down for you, prices down for us, and anyone who doesn't want them can skip them.
Honestly, the new WotC adventure format with the close-up maps of encounters just begs for this approach. I'm not sure why they haven't done it yet. But I love the idea of Pathfinder having a complete description of the adventure all the small maps someone would need to run the adventure, and then extra maps and miniature packs and item card sets being available for psycho DMs.

Hey, that's cool, too--sort of like the Trail Maps from 2nd Ed.-era TSR.
Though, I'd like to add my agreement with Kruelaid's plea for rolled (rather than folded) maps if it's a possibility.
