Not everybody makes it over to the Campaign Journals section of the boards. For those who may have an interest, I'm posting an account of my group's very roleplay-heavy Savage Tide game there.

I'd love to hear what the STAP crowd thinks. The players have really embraced their characters, making for some terrific material. It slows progress through the AP down, but the extra flavor more than makes up for it IMO. We're using the Fantasy Grounds online tabletop interface. In my experience, that tool is great for roleplay -- some players are much less inhibited when typing in character, as opposed to speaking the role in front of their friends.

This is right up my alley. My crew is all about the story.
Glad you like it. I've found that character moments really add to the story, and help set a DM's AP campaign apart from others. In my STAP game, the antics of the halfling couple Rubbumba and Zhandlegarrii (played by an actual married couple), the drunken, piratey exploits of the fighter Jouko, the gruff, Corellon-worshiping half-orc cleric Gauruloc, and the mysterious archer Verys have all taken on a life of their own. We use Fantasy Grounds as a tabletop via internet platform for the game. One session Gauruloc's player was running late and I was just killing time -- I let the other players have at it and they filled 30 minutes in-game on their own, pretty much no DM required! That was oddly satisfying.
