Just wondering, Paizo, what the population has exploded to since the forecasted change? I am noticing that the listing of latest posts is staying at very consistantly low times (8th oldest post @ 10-15 minutes, if that!) and was wondering by how much the percentage of posts have increase and what type of population increase we have seen?
I am also curious as to the status of online store purchases. What type of increase(if any) are you guys seeing?
Has Pathfinder hit "the mark" yet or is more help needed?
FH (just wanna know how my favorite company is doing!)

I think that in the chat room last week, Gary Teter said there were 14,000 posts on the day that the announcement was made. Feel free to correct me if my memory is faulty, whoever....
And I only made 1,148 of those posts, so it was a lot.
Rats. I only caught 1,142 of those. Now I'm going to have to reread them all to find the six I missed.

My favorite werewoof, you're only off by a factor of ten. :-)
I don't have direct access to the stats right now, but the number of threads, posts and new member signups per day more than doubled as a result of the announcement. That has gone down a bit over time, but I suspect it might go up again when the first issues of Dragon and Dungeon with news of the transition hit the stands....
My favorite part is still the fact that this site gets faster under load. Oh yes.

When you get access to the stats I would love to see some numbers if possible.
BTW...Whatever you guys did to the site with the last upgrade is amazing! No lag time. Crisp, fast page loads. No downtime (that I've seen, anyway). Great job, guys!FH

It's been an ongoing series of improvements to the website software, hardware and bandwidth. I don't think we can point to any one specific upgrade and say, "that did it."
As for specific numbers, I don't think we'll be releasing any of those publically. That said, we do watch these things carefully. (Or at least I do, because that's kind of my job.) Average page generation time drops by more than fifty percent during heavy load.
I believe our current server setup can handle something like five to twenty times our average traffic before it breaks a sweat. And yes, we put that in place for a reason. :)

Good thinking ahead!
I had read that there was a "number" you guys were shooting for on Pathfinder subscriptions. I don't need the actual number, I would just like to know if this number has been reached yet and if the future is looking as good as the past, better or worse. I can understand not releasing actual figure and whatnot, just want to feel some reassurances that Paizo can and will prosper through the adversity.FH

We have a target number, and we're not there yet, but we're getting there faster than we thought we might. Of course, the number of subscribers we have for the second issue is much more important than the number we have for the first issue....
