Anybody else willing to show their ignorance and post acronyms they don't know?

I'm beginning to hate acronyms.

Just SAY what you mean.

I blame texting.

Though i think texting in this case is synonymous with laziness.

Seriously? WTF?!?

Just kidding. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Three year necromancy? Is that a record?

FYI IMHO YMMV but yes.

No. I saw one resurrected from Nov 2006 the other day.

EDIT: Here's one recently bumped from Dec 2004 -- "Mad God's Key SPOILERS".

If your buddy likes getting into fight(and what sailor doesn't) tell him this one to ask a marine next time.

What's the diffrence between a straight marine or a gay marine:

Then get ready to fight, marines hate that joke for some strange reason.

You think YOU hate acronyms.

My college proffesor is so anal about acronyms he said if it's on any of his tests it's wrong no acronyms period.

One of his questions was,
What is the purpose of a power supply in a computer?
The answer is to convert A.C. power coming from the wall to low voltage D.C. power so that the computer and components can use it.

If you didn't spell out Alternating Current and Direct Current you got that question wrong. He didnt care about spelling just had to make sure it was not acronymic.
Now thats a man that hates acronyms.

Does he use a light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation pointer in his class?

This seems like as good a place as any to admit that I don't know what "P.E.A.C.H." stands for.

But I hear there are millions of them for me.

From context, I think it means Please Examine And Criticize Horrendously. ;-)

Please Examine And Criticise Honestly

C can also be construed as Critique.

Oops! You're quite right, and that's what I meant to write. I must have been subconsciously affected by Hogarth's version! :)

I've also heard "Please Examine And Critique Helpfully"; I can certainly think of some honest critiques that aren't helpful!

You mean to say some PEACH's aren't peachy?

I know "LFM" means "Looking For Man" and "DP" means...well, I know what it means. So I assume this is some sort of kinky personal ad, correct?

Looking for More to Upper Black Rock Spire, need 2 Damage Per Seconds and Gear Score above 5,000 with Tier 9 armor.

WoW lingo can be kinky, you see.

Also, GS > skill, l2p n00b !

Just to fan the flames a bit:

"What is a 'gish,' you ask?"

I'd question why you needed a 5K GS to go into a lvl 60 dungeon, but I've seen similar requests for AQ40.

Really? I thought it stood for Girl In Silent Histrionics.

Nice one. I sat through "Duel in the Sun" waiting for her to drag Gregory Peck off the the Astral Plane and sacrifice him to the lich-queen. No such luck.

I once read an article about gamers in the military. At one time during their deployment, they had to rush to avoid getting hit by RPGs. I had to reread the article a couple of times before it finally clicked.

You don't need to avoid talking about them, just say it the long way.
