Just think about it- it would really make the players work for things. Sloth would be too lazy to leave clues for them to find, so they'd have to really wrack their brains trying to figure out what was going on. You'd have all kinds of reasons for any sorts of minions- because the BBEG would be too lazy to do anything himself.
Best of all, if the PCs fail, it doesn't have to be the end of the world, because Sloth ends up being too lazy to see his quest for domination through to completion! :)

I just imagine a Runelord of Sloth as the sort of guy who'd summon an imp to fetch the remote so he doesn't have to get off the couch.

He'd probably be upset that he was reawakened in the first place. *snort, grumble* "Th' heck? S'only been 2,000 years- give me another half-millenia, would'ja?"

And if they had gone with sloth as the main opponent he could have had a subordinate named Chunk to do all his dirty work. Think of the possibilities.... :)
Hmm. The volume of pathfinder that features chunk should have a new spell.
It should have to do with finding mushrooms, and maybe small footsteps...
