What are you guys using as minis for the terror birds in "Here there be monsters?" I am at a loss.
Achaierai, from DDM Aberrations expansion. Flightless, birdlike. Two too many legs, but it's the best proxy I could come up with.

I just try to use something large with wings, dire bats, griffin, chimara. My players would like to see minis of the creatures, but as long as I can show them a picture of the creature, they are ok with something of the same size.
The Acheirai are a good choice from DDM, but getting the number of them needed is an expensive proposition.
I simply changed 'em all to Large Deionychus (for some reason there aren't any planned encouters with these that I'm aware of, and I think they fit the IoD theme even better), and used a few of my kid's dinosaur toys for minis.
I am using Axebeaks from Reaper. About $6 each, and a few days of painting for one encounter... I think I am a bit batty. I'll have to run another adventure with terror birds someday.
I plan on using Greenspawn Razorfiends fro War of the Dragon Queen. Yeah, two too many legs, but it's got the right stance and a raptor-like quality to it.
I just ordered some axe beaks as well. They look like cool minis, but I'll need to paint them.
