Quick question about the far future.
When a Pathfinder adventure path has been concluded, will the powers that be publish a collected edition of the path, a-la Shackeled City?
Thanks in advance for the answer! :)
I would expect that the answer is yes. to my understanding, the only thing that has stopped the production of a Age of Worms Hardcover (or, preferably, a boxed set), is the liscensing hassle that paizo would need from WotC. With the fact that the Pathfinder AP's will have no such liscensing hang up . . .
But please keep in mind that this answer is 100% un-offical and only an assumption from another pathfinder/paizo fan.

If I had to guess, the answer would be no/yes.
No: Not at first. Pathfinder products are perfect-bound RPG books, designed to be sold over and over again. I don't see them publishing a collected edition for a while after the initial release.
Yes: Errata, updates, changes, etc... These made the Shackled City hardcover a "must have." I'm sure the Pathfinder series will engender the same updates. Once some time has passed, likely as the initial or second print runs are selling out, you might expect to see a collected edition.

One of our goals with Pathfinder is to get it right the first time.
For the magazine adventure paths, we were still learning as we went along; this was especially true for Shackled City. Also, the magazines aren't built to last; they fall apart fast because they're magazines. Plus, once they're out of print, they're gone for good. The attraction of doing Shackled City as a book was in large part fueled by the desire to see the campaign in a durable long-lasting format that can be reprinted.
Pathfinder is already a book. So there's no need to preserve it. And unless we Really Mess Up... we hope that we'll get all the flavor and crunch right the first time so there won't need to be an extensive errata/revision. We haven't decided yet on what to do about possibly doing a collected edition, but the general hope is that we won't NEED to do one.
Stay tuned to paizo.com and the Pathfinder blog for more details as they become available.
