Since we're in an MMO lovefest lately, who here plays DDO? I would love to play with anybody here, post the server you play on and who your character is.

Argonnessen - Anarxa Sundale, human cleric
Thelanis - Lashya Gules, human cleric
Thelanis - Reagent, warforged wizard

And if you're a hater...save it. This isn't the thread to bash it (that's what the Rant thread is for), but if you tried it at release, I would suggest giving it another whirl. Content has at least doubled since release and many of the gameplay elements have been improved. For an overview of what's changed since release, read this article.

Didn't they nerf DDO? That's what the rules-lawyers have been saying on the DDO boards.

For those of us who crave disco kobolds or the occasional line-dancing ogre - have a look at this. Fun stuff!

Few questions:

If I'm not that stuck on WoW will I hate DDO?

How customisable is your PC?

I would be on a euro server so couldn't join in anyway right?

Are there frequent updates and additions to the game (new races, classes etc)?

Can you multiclass?

:)

Probably not. There's something for everybody in this game.

Pretty good as far as appearances are concerned.

Not unless you did your own euro Paizonian guilds.

Not so much for races & classes, but they've set a goal of trying to give content/gameplay updates every month, with bigger "module" updates every couple of months. The four module updates have been Vault of Night, Twilight Forge, Demon Sands and Reaver's Bane. Each of the modules has so far included a multi-part quest line ending in a 12-man raid (max 12 - you don't have to take 12 in).

Yes. No prestige classes as of yet, though - I've heard they're aiming for fall for that sort of thing. There aren't any druids or monks at this point yet, as the tech required for both of those isn't as easy as one might think.

As far as music videos, I still like Dance to the Music and Merlask's anniversary video.

Me and my friends (none of whom are Paizonians) are on the international Keeper server. Give me a call if you decide to give it a try!

While I've never played WoW, I can say that DDO is much better than Everquest. And there is none of that crafting crap. And only PvP in designated arenas. And linedancing ogres. All in all, it is good stuff.

Hey Lillith -

I was a beta tester for DDO and didn't like it then, but I thought I'd give it another try and am having a decent time at it.

Thelanis - Arkadys, Elven Dragonmarked Rogue

Grand Lodge

Thelanis
Bloodhype - Warforged Monk

Not on as much as I'd like but that should change soon.

Wow, I came late to this party! I've been playing DDO for almost 3 years. I pretty much play on Sarlona exclusively. After jumping from guild to guild, I've settled on my own: Browncoats. My mains are Alexiana (16th Wizard), Novan (16th Cleric) and Kraylith (16th Rogue). Mod 9 should be hitting pretty soon which will raise the level cap to 20 and add a lot of new content. They are also fixing Demon Queen so you don't have to flag for it anymore!

Dark Archive

Hey! I play on Sarlona too.Been playing since Beta and love it. Just can't play as much as I like.
Sarlona-Luarathoria elven cleric 13
-Gorignak elven fighter 8
-Rampartt human paladin 7
-Blendin WF rogue 5/wiz 1
-Emeralda elven wizard 7/cleric 1
-Azurana Drow ranger 5/wiz 1 aiming for arcane archer
-Vuatria drow cleric 5
-Vikkinain drow cleric 2/rogue 2/fighter 1
-Harsk dwarven ranger 6
-Minnion WF sorc 4/cleric 1
I DM the PnP games, so I tend to like a lot of variety in characters......8)

Little late, but if people from here are still playing...

Thelanis server:
Sayyadina Moonsilver Cleric 1

Just started back up and don't play ALL the time, but would like to play more with people.

I just started playing around with this a few days ago after seeing that it was free and all.

I am on Sarlona: Odingaard Hellhammer / Lv 3 Paladin.

On another note, the game play and graphics are almost identical to LoTRO. It's as if the developers did not go far to make these two games very different from one another. LOL...

I like the idea of an online D&D game and have thought before about trying DDO, despite my major dislike for all things Eberron. If they ever used a different setting for the game, I would be on it in a heartbeat.

I don't play but I have to comment if only to note that this is the most awesome thing I've ever seen. I literally burst out laughing when I saw the dancing Stinger.

Late to the party, but just started playing...

Khyber - Dynarah, Human Ranger

Hope to see some of you online!
