I'm going to be heading out on my lunch break in about an hour or so and since I can't make up my mind, I thought I would turn to the boards to help me make a decision. Where should I go for lunch today? These are my options:
- Quizno's Subs
- Wendy's
- Taco Bell
- McDonald's
- Sonic (Drive-In Burger/Hot Dog place)
There are other options, but these are the ones that are reasonably priced and quick enough to get a whole meal in during my half-hour. Thoughts?

- Quizno's = Pricey, but tastey, particularly prime rib.
- Wendy's = Dollar menu has good value, makes me feel ill.
- Toxic Hell = DEAR GOD NO! You live in the Southwest, you must have real Mexican food available.
- McDonald's = See Wendy's.
- Sonic = Do not know.
Really though, it depends on your feats. If you took Iron Gut, Toxic Hell might be the cheapest/most filling.

I do indeed have that feat. Taco Bell is usually what I resign myself to when nothing else sounds appealing. Plus, while I do live in the Southwest, the only places you can get QUALITY Mexican food is at a sit-down restaurant... which are not found in the areas surrounding my workplace, nor do I have the luxury of time for them.
Price is not such a huge issue. I find myself going to Quizno's more than any of the other places around here because they are most certainly of higher quality than the others. The problem is, I eat there more often than any of the other places around here.... so it gets repetative sometimes.
@ Mr. Shiny - That is a sure-fire way to make myself terribly ill.
@ Heathy - 1 vote for Sonic. It does indeed have tator tots. I like 'em with cheese.

We've got ubiquitous hole in the wall Mexican shops with names that are a variation on Albertos (e.g., Robertos, there are others, but I can't think of them; I have a theory that the suffix 'bertos means 'taco shop' in Spanish). They rise above the level of Taco Bell, but invariably cause regret after consumption.
I'd probably vote for Quizno's. It's definitely the highest quality.
Sadly, I lost the Iron Gut feat at some point. It's a depressing aspect of getting old I guess, but I can't tolerate most fast food anymore.

Weird... we've got the same thing here. Aliberto's, Filiberto's, etc. etc. Are they all big yellow signs? Where do you live again?
Personally, I've eaten at a Filiberto's before and... I thought it was absolute garbage. Taco Bell is superior to those, imo. You are correct about the post-consumption regret, also.

Jack in the Box, I can't do. Post Traumatic Gastric Stress Disorder.
Yeah, I used to be a Jack in the Box loyalist. I eventually got quite sick of it. And really, it was EXTREMELY bad for me to eat there because I almost always got the Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger... oy... cholesterol...

Filibertos! I knew there were more. But yeah, that's them, big yellow signs, questionable quality, little red plastic things of hot sauce.
I live in San Diego. You're over in AZ, right?
Jack-in-the-Box: Best commercials ever. Food is neh. I always have trouble convincing people from the Midwest that they can actually consume it without risking death. I only knew about Jack-in-the-Box from the e coli deaths that occurred in the late 80s/early 90s, and that's what most of my MI based friends and family know.

Correct. Mesa, AZ to be specific. Just barely east of Phoenix (same metropolitan area).

My wife is from New York and she had the same reaction when she first came out here. I assured her that their food was not fatal. At least, not IMMEDIATELY fatal anyway...

Excellent! There's a KFC right next to my neighborhood! Slow arterial death is within walking distance!

Now I'm hungry.
Get some Fish'n'chips. ;)
Lilith, your vicarious lunch was delicious. My breath now quite thoroughly reeks of mustard and onions. Fortunately, they include a lovely breath mint with the meal.
I decided against the shake and got a soda instead. Dr. Pepper, for what it's worth. And I did get the cheesy tots, but they were a little stingy with the cheese. :(

Is "sushi" a code-word for a bit of afternoon delight? You guys are just too excited about raw fish. Hummm, I better talk to the wifey, Fakey has a hankering for some "sushi". Na, I think you need a better code word.

LOL....nope, just sushi. No code words here--it's a work day and we met halfway between my office and hers.
