Do the Monks of Dire Hunger have a leader? And if so what are his' or her's levels?
The whole cannibal monks leaders is very cool
The monks' leaders were the ur-priests who used to run Scuttlecove. They've gone missing, but were all about CR 20 menaces. In their absence, a leader figure has not risin among the monks' ranks; they're pretty communal and don't really need a single leader, though. It's possible that there's something deep in their monastery that's pulling the strings, or maybe even in the unexplored dungeons under the Scuttlecove Palace, I suppose...

How does a Greater Dusk Giant (Heroes of Horror) with levels of monk and the Snatch and Swallow feat (Draconomicon) tickle ya?

Very nice! I will use this idea if the players want to delve deeper in the background of these fetid monks.

On a slightly related subject..which god finally did in the ur-priests? Curious to know in case my party has any connection to said deity.
I'm routing for St. Cuthbert.
I also am very interested to learn the fate of the ur-priests. One of my players is going to be playing a hellbred (from Tyrants of Hell) warlock, and wants to have his previous existence be something of a mystery to him. I was toying with the idea of his character having been one of the ur-priests, who had engineered his death-bed recanting in an effort to escape his much-deserved damnation. After all, who better than an ur-priest to be able to sucker the naive forces of Good?
I would love to know who my player will have to thank for his previous death when he learns of his past life of evil.

Actually I was hoping this would be the next Adventure Path, but then we got that awful news that Dungeon and Dragon Magazines would be no more.

Yeah... no chance now for me to really to expand much upon the fate of the Ur-Priests. Maybe someday.
ANYway... it's left vague on purpose which deity did them in, so that you can put in your own favorite in the role, or perhaps one of the deities your PCs worship?
If I had to pick, I'd say Wee Jas took them down. 'Cause in the core pantheon, she's the best.
