Messageboard archives?

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Hi, I'm running the Shackled City Adventure Path but that board only goes back to Jan 2007.

Are the archives archived somewhere?

I'm mindful of the fact that many helpful posts may have occured as the SCAP was released in Dungeon a year or two ago.

Thanks,
Rory

This is a really good point. While I somewhat understand why the general threads should be archived unless the posters go out of their way to ressurect them I can't see why the AP threads should have archives that are close to inaccessable to the message board users. I mean if I choose to sit down and run STAP in two years I'll face the problem that a lot of the most obvous stuff was seen and resolved fairly early on and has long ago gone to archive where I can't get at it as I don't even know it exists.

The archives were browseable for a brief time but we had to turn it off because that feature caused seriously bad website performance. We revisit this issue occasionally, so they may be made browseable at some point in the future.

However, you can always search the messageboard archives, using either the search box at the left side of the page (which searches everything on the site), or the search box at the top right of any forum page. The forum searches include the archives for that forum.

We are also working on other ways for you to find the best threads for a particular topic. Stay tuned.

How ironic that this itself is in the archives. Well, at least now I know I can stop searching for them!

Go and check out theRPGenius.com for some great resources on the adventure paths. Most of the folks that post here frequently are the ones that put up most of the material over there. It's really invaluable if you plan on running any of the paths.
