Are you familiar with his Hawkwind songs?

Yep. Tim Hitchcock gave me the primer on Hawkwind.

Scarab Sages

They can be amusing, live, considering they're a bunch of not-exactly-photogenic pensioners who prefer to remain anonymous (even performing backlit behind curtains on occasion).
They make up for it with fire-eaters, acrobats, nude ladies, lasers, lava-lamp lightshows and other jollities.

When I saw them at Manchester Apollo in 89(?) 90(?) they had a support act; a performance artist who was attacked and strangled by his robot creation, and the suppport band (Krel?) performed a great song with a familiar intro which had us all scratching our heads with deja vu, till I realised it was the Prayer to the Holy Atom, from Beneath the Planet of the Apes.

You must really like them. That's the third time I've seen that on your playlist. What are they like?

Scarab Sages

Yes, OK, you've got your PC media player sorted by song title.

There's a lot of eclectic random playlists here.
Not that there's anything wrong with eclectic tastes, but don't people want to pick tunes to match, or inspire, a specific mood?

Jumping around from loud to quiet, happy to sad, love to hate, seems like a recipe for schizophrenia.

Right now I'm listening to the Bionic commando rearmed soundtrack. Oh so sweet!

My son, despite showing all signs of enjoying Cheerios last time we got them, now refuses to eat them, prefering for breakfast "Iron Man Food like Dadda".
