With the chances of an AoW Hardcover decreasing by the day, I decided to buy all of the back issues of Dungeon. I can get a hold of all of them except for #124.
However when I took it to the checkout I discovered that the shipping costs was $15.50, almost twice the cost of the magazine!
I do understand that shipping costs to Australia are a little higher than some other places but $15.50 seems a little excessive to me. Is there some other postage method that I can get this issue sent out for less than $15.50? I don't care if it takes a lot longer to get to me. Heck, I'll even wait 3 months for surface mail. I just don't want to pay so much for shipping.

Olaf,
Unfortunately, we only have two methods of international shipping, USPS Global and USPS Air Mail. In this case (as is usually the case), USPS Global is the cheaper of the two at US$15.50. It is also, incidentally, the faster and more reliable of the two. It is, however, the most inexpensive shipping option we can offer.
I apologize, by the way, for having missed your question initially. Our goal is always to provide an answer for every question on this board, and we usually make that goal. Once again, I apologize.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Cosmo. After having a look at the USPS site, I think the problem is because the price for sending a parcel that weighs one ounce is the same as sending something that weighs one pound.
Is it not possible to send an issue of Dungeon via Letter Post instead of Parcel Post? Have you also thought about offering an Economy (Surface) mail option? It would make shipping much more affordable for overseas customers.

Olaf,
You're pretty much correct; adding other lower-cost options for international postage is fairly high on our to-do list.

Glad to hear it Vic. I imagine that adding Letter Post and Surface Mail options would make things much more affordable for international customers. The lower shipping charges will then hopefully lead to more sales from those of us living outside the US.
That's a win for Paizo and international customers.
