Just curious if anyone is using the Dundjinni mapping software for their STAP games? I am currently working on the BG maps, and they are working pretty well. I've got the Beach of Ruin looking just like I want it, with corpses, blood, and smoke covering the whole beach. I'm not quite sure how to do the Hall of Hanging Silks, though.
We use Dundjinni in all our games, and if you're ready to put some time and thought into making maps, it's a really cool piece of software.

When you used the term "BG" were you refering to "background" and not "Battlegrounds"?
I have just purchased Battlegrounds to use during my campaign that starts in a little over a month. So far it looks like it will work great using the projector I have in my basement to use as our battle grid. I have also purchased the Combat Pad from onsite here and the Maiden of the High Seas from the folks over at World Works Games.
I am going all out for this one!

Battlegrounds is designed to game online with a group or offline with a projector at home. It has a great fog of war feature and you can also assign objects as light sources which can let PCs only see what they actually would see. Once I start using it during the game I'll let you know how it goes. It looks so promising however I can't imagine it won't be awesome.

No one else using Dundjinni for STAP? How sad... I feel so lonely...
I've been thinking of getting it but I doubt I'll have time to learn to use it and all. I'm "suffering" from work-and-a-girlfriend syndrome. How long do you reckon it would take to get into it? I can fiddle about with existing images in Photoshop okay but doing stuff from scratch will have to wait 'til the summer holidays (I teach).

It probably won't take you as long as it did me, but you'll spend several hours at least getting the hang of it. They've got a pretty good tutorial on the site, and if you do that you shouldn't have too much trouble.
One of the best things about Dundjinni is all the free user creations that people have made and put on the website.
