hehe; I didnt even see that page; it was so normal, but the can of ham sure caught my eye; wow advertising eh. I didnt see a coupon so I was looking for a funny caption and couldn't find one; was mystified; turned the page, read the other letters and didnt even see the blue dragon one as it looked so normal. hehe just missed it. Funny how looking back they are the same size and the can says blue ribbon and the next page has a blue dragon, I just thought maybe it was gonna be a "Give this picture a caption contest" or something.

It's page 1 of a 2 page advertisement. The next page contains the answer.
Scan back through the past year or so, as there are a couple of others. The ham was funny, but the joke is a little "done" now. The first ad had me laughing.
Nothing against their really cool collection of dragon "bigatures", but in my game it was simply enough to plop down a 3x3 square (i.e. Huge) home-made token of a blue to panic my Players. Set the tone, get them in the right mood and even ink-jet tokens on card-stock will have the desired effect.
There may not have been any character deaths, but it was still dramatic.

The fact that the label had "Cormyr" on it may have led some to wonder about the punchline without flipping the page. :)
I still think the original pineapple was the funniest, both for novelty and the "proxy" chosen. The chicken and ham weren't bad, but I think the next one needs to be a big block of cheese.
