I've added two new play-by-post-oriented forums (fora?) to our messageboards. The Play-by-Post forum is a place where DMs can create campaign threads, and the Play-by-Post Discussion forum is for out-of-game discussion about the campaigns. Recruiting for players should be done in the Gamer Connection forum.

I've moved the two play-by-post campaigns that I'm aware of out of the Campaign Journals forum into the Play-by-Post forum. If there are any I've missed, please email me at webmaster@paizo.com. Also, let me know if there are any out-of-game discussion threads you'd like moved as well.

These forums don't have any special support for play-by-post play. We might add that in the future when I get some time. So for now, we're depending on the awesome paizo.com community to play nice. :-)

Thanks for doing all that extra work, Gary. Must be a stone golem because you rock.

I've got a question about pbp--how does it work with respect to gaming copyrighted materiel?
Can you run just for saying's sake....a Goodman Games module, or would that be an infringement? Or since I'm on Dungeon's "mothership" site, could I theoretically run an adventure from a Dungeon magazine if that's what suited my fancy?

I think running Goodman Games modules or Shadowrun campaigns or whatever here would be awesome. As long as you're not posting any copyrighted material without the proper license, go for it.

Oh, and Call of Cthulhu. Someone has to run a CoC game here because I want to watch the fun.

Very interesting (mwahahahahaaaa....)

Mister PostMonster, sir, I sent you an idee-er that I had for them PbP sections...:D

Lilith, that was indeed a good idea. (I decided it should look like this.)

Heh! That's pretty darn close to what I just sent you! :D

Sweet, a PbP section! Anybody want to run a 3.5 campaign of...anything!? I'm game. I'll be checking this often to see if any new ones are getting started up so if anyone needs a player, let me know!!

please, ok thanks.

Dude. You rock! Thanks a ton! Oh and if you wouldn't mind there's a thread called Grimcleaver Campaign Commentary that's the repository for all the OOC stuff from the Shandura campaign. If you wanted to move it and possibly put Shandura in the name or whatever (like you did with the Grimmbold Manor post) I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks again!

Done and done.

If I might borrow a sliver of your collective attentions, I would like to request your ideas and opinions on the matter of a proposal for play-by-post cooperation, which was inspired by this thread, and may be found here.

While I'm not against it, the big thing is that I'm pretty loyal to Paizo. We've got a good thing here, lots of the best and brightest roleplayers I've seen in a long time with a staff who really care about us and do what they can to make us ecstatically happy. I've long used other forums for my play by post games, and frankly I've felt bad. Paizo has drawn us all here, and I think it'd be unfair to grab players from here and go give extra hits to some other website when I could be giving my hits to the fine folks here at Paizo. It's not really a matter of not wanting to cooperate, as much as recognizing that these guys have gone way out of their way to go the extra mile for us and I want to reward them for that and all the other cool stuff they do for us. So yeah.

True that. I've been trying to think of some way to express appreciation other than just a "Me, too!" but since you've captured my sentiments perfectly, I'll settle for "What he said."

Yeah, me too; what Grimcleaver said :)
