Ok, I don't know anything about ships and such. I know the Wyvern is a caravel, but what kind of ship is the Nixie?
It seems quite a bit larger than the caravel in stormwrack and the Wyvern's map.

The Nixie is indeed a caravel. In Sea Wyvern's Wake, the PCs at one point have dinner with Lavinia on the Nixie. The text states that the PCs find the Nixie almost identical to the Wyvern but the Nixie is a bit larger.

It's never really mentioned. I've assumed one of the crew has high ranks in Profession(sailor).

The Blue Nixie looks a lot like a small carrack, what with a fore and aftcastle, being over 30m in length, and the rounded stern.
Sure they are very similar in layout but really the Sea Wyvern is very unusual for a caravel, since it has a forecastle. Still it's too small to be much else (although that is probably to do with the size of the poster).
