That's pretty much left up to the individual DM. It probably makes most sense to start the campaign near the start of Summer or the end of Spring, I suppose. Sasserine is more or less on par with Central America or India or Northern Africa. The Isle of Dread's more or less just on the equator, maybe a little south of it. It's all tropical, in any event. Until the last few adventues kick in, that is...
I only ask because an expedition to Farshore during the hurricane season, might put my players off going.
you should be seeing a full year of the island... dont want to miss the return of the trading ship, right ;)
Doing away with that first invasion should ease pressures and allow for freer time usage. Dont be afraid to sit down a month or two to enchant items etc..
Ok, so a quick checkup on whats going on in the north... but make your contacts and secure the area and you can wait with exploring further.

Sea Wyvern's Wake certainly takes place NOT during hurricane season. Before or after is the question, and the answer is it doesn't really matter. If you run Sea Wyvern's Wake DURING the hurricane season... well, you might end up with a really short campaign.
