Should we expect delays from the next "Blizzard"?

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

The second blizzard has hit the Paizo office! Of course you know I'm referring to this:

http://www.blizzard.com/

Should we expect greater delays (and/or possible errors) in the magazine after today?

Amusingly enough, the Northwest actually got a second snow dump today, not quite as much as the first. So I saw this thread, and though you meant that :)

I'm sure the guys at Paizo are professional enough that they would not let WOW cause delays or errors in the magazine.

I'm even MORE sure that they would not put an online game ahead of all of us enjoying our fix of traditional pen and paper role playing games that we get through Dungeon and Dragon mags.

Right guys??

Not all of the Paizo editorial staff plays WoW... I certainly do, as does Jeremy Walker, Wes Schneider, and Mike McArtor. But even then, Warcraft will impact the quality of the magazine FAR less than, say actual days lost during the year to actual snow (so far this year, that would be 3 days for me at least).

The fact that I'm posting this from work on the day the expansion released should also answer your question.

HA!

This from the man who lamented about not getting his Special Edition of the WoW expansion through the mail today. Had you not shipped it to the office, I am sure the snow would have kept you home...

Don't lie to me sir.. I see your dirty secrets, and post them for the world to see.

That is low sir... very low. I suppose I should have expected such a maniacal response from a man with so much time on his hands due to not yet having the WoW expansion.

Editors should always double check their posts for errors.

Ahem. Like you just did.

Jack Bauer had no choice but to torture and eat that puppy. That puppy had valuable information and was refusing to talk. It's always the ones you think you can trust ...

Hmm... its 10:41 and the only two editorial staff members in are the ones who do not play WoW...

That seems... odd.

Rumor has it that Mike is switching to City of Heroes/Villians. Of course this means Issue releases will be the blizzard keeping him out of the office.

It's true. I don't have Burning Crusade yet and I'm only barely interested in picking it up. Guild Wars and City of Heroes/Villains for me these days. I almost dropped my WoW account completely, but when I brought this up to my girlfriend she gave me a look as though I had just kicked her puppy or something.

So Blizzard continues to receive my money for those 3–5 hours a month I play their game. But any delay I have in coming in to work can be blamed on NCSoft. ;P
