Help! I have a question. If the PC's look through the dome that leads to the Ulugastra, can they see anything below? I have read the description multiple times and really can't find an answer. I was thinking that they would not be able to see what was below the dome. Maybe just a sickly green glow. How have others handled this? Am I just missing something?

It depends upon what you want to give away at that time, I´d say. A sickly green glow and a movement by something BIG would make them scared probably all the more, I think.
On another topic: the Ulgurstasta is probably the most-misspelled monster ever :-)) It is only beaten by the rouge rogue :-)) Just poking some fun, I hope you are not offended.

I don't have the magazine handy, but the impression I had was that the dome top is opaque, maybe bricked over. At least, that's how I did it - they didn't see anything until they were in the lower level and then only if they opened the doors.

My group hasn't actually got that far yet, but I've been thinking about it, and I think I'm going to have a pit of black sludge, like that in TFoE, instead of the dome. I don't want the PCs to fight the Ulgurstasta early. At the end of the Champions Games, Raknian will summon the beast forth from the pit...

Yup. This is how I handled it too.
