Well, after the images seen of Lashonna turning into a silver dragon before journeying to the isle of lost knowledge my party has launched an in-depth effort to determine who and what Lashonna truly is. Now, after a series of divinations, legend lores and such, they know the truth!
They want to raise her and redeem her. How, other than a TPK in the final episode, would you handle this? Have any of you had a problem like this before?

On the way to the 'isle of lost knowledge' my intrepid band of heroic figures spotted the fair Lashonna turning into a silver dragon and bravely confronting the minions of Kyuss. Fascinated, the launched a crash effort of legend lores, divinations, etc. to determine just what was going on.
They know now what she is.
They have 'brilliantly' decided to that she must be returned to life and redeemed. Anyone have any ideas how this might be done or do I need to use the DM's blunt instrument as an alternative to TPK?

If they haven't been to the wormcrawl fissure yet, you might have Bucknard's spirit discourage this worthy but futile pursuit. Failing that, if there is someway for Dragotha to discover their idea, have him point out the truth: "convince that trecherous silver harlot to give up immortality and being the bride of a god just so she can die with the rest of you? Good Luck!" Considering Lashonna's charm/dominate abilities, they can't afford to give her the benefit of the doubt for a moment or they'll promptly be on the way up to get a kiss from Bucknard's sister.

Let them ressurect her, if they can. I would suspect that this would be a difficult procedure. Heck, it may even kill them all. But she is willy, that Lashonna. She should have contingency plans for just this sort of outcome. Perhaps she can fake them into thinking that she is in the Wormcrawl fissure, that that is where her final resting place is, as it were, in order to send them after Dragotha. It is not to hard, with a couple of wishes to send the players divinations off on the wrong direction.
On the other hand, if they do manage to ressurect her, just have Dragotha put the plans for the Age of Worms on full steam ahead. He could still be fought as planned below the fissure, maybe as a diversion so that an underling of his, some other undead or even living dragon could take the Kyuss pillar to the only site of a Spire of Long Shadows in existence, the city of Alhaster. You could simply replace the Lashonna fight with either a rematch with Dragotha or two undead dragons or some other combination.

I seem to remeber that raise dead is not enough to bring undead back to life. Assuming the resurection or true res gets through her spell resistance, she would know the alignment and deity of whoever's casting it, and have the option not to return to life, like any other creature being resurrected. They'd probably first have to convince her to return to a good alignment. While earlier posters have pointed out why that's unlikely, consider also that Balphegor's Grace, as an artifact that grants control over devils, could be exerting an independent evil influence, and be another roadblock to redemption for L.
