After adding four issues of Dungeon (#139 to #142) to my shopping cart I casually looked up the shipping costs to my adres (which being in The Netherlands added up to $20 in total).
I then proceeded to add the comic OOTS "On the origin of PC's" to my shopping cart. I then again looked up the shipping costs ($24 in total). Seeing the total cost of the order plus shipping, I decided to remove OOTS from my order.
I then casually clicked futher until I was asked to confirm my order. I again checked the order I found to my surprise that my shipping costs weren't the $20 I was expecting but $21,50.
Somehow my adding and removing of OOTS had increased my shipping costs by $1,50. I deleted my order and made it again, to check if I wasn't seeing things. But after adding just the four issues of dragon my shipping costs came in at $20.
Looks to me like something doesn't add up correctly when stuff is removed from the shopping cart. Hope this helps.

Somehow my adding and removing of OOTS had increased my shipping costs by $1,50.
The magazine issues all fit into an envelope, which would ship via USPS (Envelope). But when you added the OOTS book, your order no longer fit into an envelope, so shipping was automatically switched to USPS (Parcel), which increased the cost.
When you removed the book... well, the store currently isn't clever enough to realize that it should automatically switch you back to USPS (Envelope)—though it was now available for you to select yourself in the shipping method popup, so you could still have gotten the $20 shipping.
We'll add smarter automatic shipping method selection after items are removed to the to-do list.
