Merry X-Mas, Dragotha. Here's some shiny new knights! (Spoilers)

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Well, I'm getting ready for the fight against Dragotha, and as I've stated on other posts, I think the big D has grim prospects versus a large band of heroes. Afterall, they're at least taking quadruple the number of actions he is a turn, making it mathematically impossible for him to keep up, no matter how badass he is. He needs a way to do more each round. He needs...minions! While there are a small amount of forces to help defend Dragotha, chances are the PCs have encountered them on the way there, as Balakarde suggests, leaving Dragotha with one action versus the seven to twelve that my PCs will be taking each turn. Being the holiday season,I've decided to give Dragotha some presents: A trio of adventurers who accompanied Balakarde on his quest before their fateful meeting with Dragotha (Afterall, few smart wizards I know would try to take on a dracolich alone, no matter how powerful). The fourth is a PC's former cohort who now serves Kyuss... Enjoy!

1) Harthan Stonebeard: Harthan was captured by bandits as an infant and raised as a slave in the Free city arena, becoming brutally initiated into the realm of armed combat. He was a natural with bladed weapons, and quickly made a name for himself in the games until the day that he won his freedom. He traced his ancestry back to a vanquished line of dwarves that formerly resided in the Hellfurnaces, and went on a pilgrimage to the inhospitable region. He set up an outpost in the region near an abandoned mithral mine that he planned to eventually claim. During his tenure, he came into conflict numerous times with the nearby fire giant tribes until he was able to negotiate an uneasy truce with the brutes. Many months passed until the tenuous peace was shattered by the immergence of an ancient red dragon, Brazzemal the Burning. Recently raised from death by a high priest of Kyuss, the rampaging dragon unleashed the fury he had resigned for the adventures who slew him. He obliterated Harthan’s outpost, reducing his dreams to cinders. The dwarven fighter vowed revenge, and tracked the dragon all the way to the Wormcrawl Fissure, where during his explorations he met Balakarde…
*Harthan’s ‘Gifts’: A) Mindshredder Weapon- Harthan is forever denied the glory of truly striking his foes. Instead of doing physical damage, any attack Harthan makes with a melee weapon, regardless of the weapon used, deals no damage. Instead, those struck must make a Fortitude DC 29 save per hit or suffer 2d6 Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma drain.
B)Unholy Flight- Harthan has a Fly speed of 30, perfect.

2) Sir Dravis Meleborn: Dravis was born to nobility in the kingdom of Furyondy, raised on the tenants of the royal kingdom. During his adolescence, his keep was assaulted by the demonic forces of Iuz as the conqueror attempted to expand his boundaries. His parents were killed during the assault, which drove him into the succor of the nearby church of Pelor. Matured and trained under the banner of Pelor, Dravis became a mighty Paladin, protecting caravans across the Shield lands from the ravages of bandits and others sponsored by Iuz. After many years, he noticed a pattern to the bandits and discovered a leader, a fiendish necromancer of great prowess. He tracked him to the FellReeve Forest, where Dravis launched a mighty attack. His forces were slain as the bandits had allied with the fell undead that lurked in the forest, slaying his men to the last. He barely escaped with his life and lived many years in Alhaster, a shell of his former self. Finally, one day he met Balakarde as the wizard was pursuing the cult of Kyuss, and the wizard seemed to instantly understand the paladin’s loss. He agreed to aid the paladin in regaining his honor if Dravis would aid him in the Wormcrawl Fissure, and the two quickly returned to the Fellreeve to exact deadly revenge. Succesful in atoning for his lost comrades, the paladin joined with Balakarde to destroy Dragotha…
*Sir Dravis’s ‘Gifts’: A) Blinding Aura- 30’ radius, Living creatures only, Fort DC 29 or blind permanently.
B) Visions of the Worm- 1/rd, free action, 1 target within Blinding Aura, Will DC 29 or stunned 1 rd by visions of the Age of Worms.

3) Vangrid Marrowstar: Vangrid was a beautiful elven druid who was raised from the dangerous confines of the Gnarley Forest. Always an outcast from her people, she quickly adapted to the natural world and discovered her place in it. As the centuries waned on, Vangrid was a vigilant defender of her grove and was instrumental in ousting a huge tribe of orcs who had taken the nearby Iron Hills. Decades later, Vangrid began to notice the presence of unwanted visitors near her grove: Spawn of Kyuss. Though sporadic in appearance, it was enough to concern her to search for their source. As she tracked them, she noticed that they were using the trees to transport themselves, much a druid would. She stalked the spawn for months, eradicating them when she could, searching a trail of worm-ridden trees for a fallen member of her order. Finally, she came upon an unholy grove in the heart of the Amedio Jungle, a cancer on the land where the dead walked unabated. She encountered a dark druid who had long ago fallen under the sway of the nearby Spire of Long Shadows, and there she fought a terrific battle. Barely surviving, she nonetheless spent many days cleansing the grove until her efforts were disturbed by another foe against Kyuss and his minions, Balakarde. Though she reminded him of his lost sister, Balakarde came to an understanding with the vivacious elf as she agreed to accompany him…
*Vangrid’s ‘Gifts’: A) Lifekiller Aura- 20’ radius, living creatures only, Fortitude DC 29 or 1 point of Constitution damage. Animals, Fey, Magical Beasts, and Plants take 1d6 Constitution drain instead on failed save.
B) Worm Infested- Anyone striking Vangrid with a natural weapon, unarmed strike, or light weapons or grappling her must make a Reflex DC 29 save or become infested with 1d6 kyuss worms.

4) Logan: Logan was originally a human ranger from the Gnarley forest who joined up with the troupe of heroes known as the Wormcrushers after their heroic efforts in the Free City Arena. A terrific foe of both the undead and evil dragons, he helped to destroy Dragotha’s phylactery in the giant city of Kongen Thulnir befor he was slain by Brazzemal in a struggle over the artifact. His body was last seen being flown inside of the Tabernacle of Worms…
*Logan’s Gifts: A) Weapon of Hatred: Once per round as a free, swift action, Logan can give any weapon he uses the Bane Weapon property. He may only select a different type of enemy once per round.
B)Wormbow: Logan’s former gift from the Order of Storms, the Doomslayer bow, has been corrupted into a mockery of its former self. The Wormbow is a +1 Mighy Composite Longbow with a +5 Strength modifier (+25/+20/+15, 1d8+6). Any foe damaged by the Wormbow is immediately infested with a Kyuss worm as if it had already burrowed past their skin. Effects of Kyuss worms are found throughout the path…

Excellent addition; I may use one or more of these characters in my campaign. Thanks!
