Torrents of Dread: Spoliers or Not?

Savage Tide Adventure Path

I've seen the adventure Torrents of Dread in issue 114 of Dungeon. I'm considering trying to get a copy of it, but I'm wondering if it's worth it.

So, my questions are: is Torrents of Dread a good adventure? And would its inclusion in the Savage Tide path be a "spoiler" of sorts, or can it be fit in without spoiling the plot? If it could be fit in, where would be the best place? After Here There Be Monsters, but before the next arc? Or sometime in the middle of the next arc?

Thanks in advance!

Well you can pick it up on PDF, so its not like its a big investment. It looks like a decent adventure, but I'm not sure how Id work it in with the STAP. If you did I think it would have to take place just after Here there be monsters, but by that point your PCs will be sitting around or 9th level, and it is designed for 6th level PCs, so you will need to scale it up.

I would do it if you want to add some more interaction with the Olman tribes in the area or maybe preview the Korprus before the party moves into the island. The entire adventure is self contained and doesn't (as far as I know) complicate the Adventure Path. (The Dungeon staff seem to be pretty good at making sure adventures in the same locale don't contradict each other.)

However, you would have to do some work to level it up for the reasons already stated. I would do it if you want to put the work into it. I was already thinking about running it myself.

I was actually thinking of running it as is for the party; I like giving PCs the ability to feel heroic by plowing through an adventure thats technically below them. Constantly running into things that challenges is good for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where we all know that in between episodes is a lot of "routine" encounters, but in D&D I think PCs need to get to actually play those "we are the heroes, hear us roar" type of adventures.

Sovereign Court

You might want to change the Bullywugs to Sahuagin if you feel if it makes no sense fighting them in the Bullywug Gambit then fighting them again in the Isle Of Dread.

I intend to run the adventure as a side trek after "Here be Monsters" and before arriving at Farshore to meet Lavinia.
