I have a theory now about why sometimes Dragon and Dungeon magazines disappear into the void.
I got Dragon 351 today....in a plain manila envelope with the address label stapeled to the outside.
....with a scrawled note...."sorry".......
.....I think the post office has a machine somewhere that's eating our Dragons.......and I got a postal employee with a consciensce instead of someone who just pitches the magazine into a trash bin.

Bizarre.

Curious and curiouser.

Possibly. More likely your particular issue had an imperfection or irregularity that caused it to become caught up in the machine.
It caught the attentions of THE BEAST.
and I got a postal employee with a consciensce instead of someone who just pitches the magazine into a trash bin.
Very likely.
In 90% of my experience with USPS personnel, they have been competent, dedicated individuals who take their jobs very seriously. It's just that they're dealing with an unimaginable volume of... stuff.
And then you get the occasional bad egg who hurts the reputation of the institution as a whole.
Therefore, I'm glad to hear that you received your issue and that it survived what must have been an interesting trip. If it's destroyed beyond readability, let me know and I can get you replacement, if not... Awesome.
