Hello.
Just a couple of question about these things:
1) Does the vine they animate merely attack as assassin vine (+7 slam, 1d6+5 damage, improved grab & constrict) or does it get any other of their abilities of assassin vine, namely blindsight, entangle and energy resistances? I suspect the first but never hurts to clarifiy.
2) Does the malleable form affect movement in difficult terrain, say if some spells turns the "ground" beneath them into something else?
Thanks.

I'd say just the physical attacks; they're nasty enough "as is," especially if you keep throwing waves of vine horrors at the characters all night. I allowed my PCs to spend the night on the ship's deck, and had the vine horrors climb up on all sides... the PCs would be surrounded if they didn't act fast, but the animated vines couldn't reach them. Otherwise, be quite assured, all would be dead.

noticed something that should probably be brought out.
the vine horrors are listed as having a normal ac of 19, touch of 13 and flat-footed of 16.
how?
they have dex 10 and no listed deflection/insight ac bonii...
i figure they SHOULD have ac 16, touch 10, and FF 16, what with the natural armor of a plant.
that being said, i almost killed 2 pc's with them and their assassin vines (i ran them as simply assassin vines, with all the attendant benefits), and DID kill the npc paladin.
