I noticed that there's no description of the Discorporate ability in Kyuss' stat block in Dawn of a New Age (despite the fact that it's listed in his Special Qualities). Was this intentional? Meaning, is Kyuss supposed to have this ability, or not? Looking at the Worm that Walks template in the ELH, the Discorporate ability reads as follows:
"If gravely threatened, a worm that walks can discorporate as a free action, simply falling into a pile of individual vermin that slither away, taking their escape by burrowing into the earth, slipping through holes in the wainscotting, or the like. So long as any of the component vermin survive, they can breed and create a new body to house the wizard's intelligence and personality.
Discorporating is a dangerous tactic, because once separated, the vermin are treated no differently than normal vermin. Also, the worm stands a good chance of losing all of its equipment. However, discorporation almost assures that at least one maggot (if not dozens) will manage to crawl away, and so provide for the worm's continued existence."
Basically, if used well, this could be a way for a DM to keep the campaign going if he so chose- the PCs may think they killed Kyuss, when in reality one of the worms escaped, and will be back to torment them in the near future. But, unfortunately, that entire description was cut out (undoubtedly for space reasons). Basically, does he have this ability or not?

Kyuss does indeed have the discorporate ability. The full description probably got cut for space. In any case, Kyuss probably won't use this ability, since he'd lose his artifacts for starters.
As for the aberration part, that's correct. If I remember correctly, the template got errataed in the shift from 3.0 to 3.5. Or maybe we just decided to make him an aberration.
