Assuming its being run off of the Stormwrack stats for a caravel, it should be 20 feet wide, 60 feet long (deck, full tip to tip length closer to 75) with a draft of 10 feet and a deck 10 feet above the waterline.
Seems a bit small for a full-fledged expedition to the Isle of Dread. I was hoping for something around 100-150 ft long and 35ish ft wide with 3 masts, sorta like the Nixie but more combat outfitted.
Is Black Bard correct, James?****damn, simultaneous posts!****

could I sub out the sea wyvern for a larger vessel? Something like THIS?
3 masts, 150'x35'. I am about 2/3s done building it and would like to use it for the Blue Nixie and the Sea Wyvern. Is there an logistical problems with using a larger vessel? Some ideas would be appreciated.

FH--Historically there were few ships that size in the Age of Sail--typically such a large ship would be built as part of a wealthy kingdom's naval fleet. (Stormwrack lists the Greatship as having a space of 150 by 40, so your dimensions are about right for such a ship, roughly comparable to the Spanish galleons that brought silver back from the New World.) A private trader like the Vanderborens would be much more likely to own smaller ships--at largest caravel-sized. Even the caravel in Stormwrack is a bit bigger than Columbus' flagship Santa Maria, IIRC. That's not to say you can't have such a large ship, and unless your players are into this sort of trivia they probably won't know the difference.

FH - Yes, it is big for historical accuracy, but it is what I will be using for the Wyvern. I'll also be using it as the Nixie, unless I can kitbash it to be about 1/2 the size.
Having a blast putting it together. Have the entire hull and deck done. I guess I need to think about doing the masts. Why do I think they are going to be a real b**** to do?

I almost have her finished with only the sails and some of the decorative stuff left to do. Gods that boat is beautiful and BIG. 3' long from tib to tail, 7" wide, stands over 1'6" tall to the top of the masts. My wife is impressed but thinks I am crazy for making this. The ratlines look cool done in the transparencies also. I was thinking about trying to Kitbash something for the smaller ship also but haven't for a good floorplan yet. Any ideas or should I just use the poster map?

Story of my life, man.
Sounds cool, though.
I'll try to figure out how to post some pictures when I complete it and maybe some other dungeon pieces I've done. I may have to ask someone to throw them up on a site somewhere. I feel so lame when it comes to techie stuff.

OK here's a thought.
This is a link to the Dundjinni User Forums. I ded a search on Ships.
This is a link to a post from someone who owns a print shop and has offered to print out 1" = 5' scale maps FREE, as long as you pay shipping.
The ship maps are in the user forums, so they are pretty much free content. There you go. Find a map of a ship you like and send away to have it ptinted for you.

Yep, the Liralen is arguably the favorite of all ships on the DJ site, and for good reason!
I've got one on there as well, the Sanjeeda. I built it from the deckplans of an actual Indian dhow (of the same name) so it's fairly accurate on scale and such. I'll be happy to shot folks higher-res images if anyone likes it (the maps on the DJ forums are far frommax resolution).
