Missing STAP flavour in my group

Savage Tide Adventure Path

The STAP is all about pirates and demons! Okay there are dinosaurs and other things from way back in time, too (and perhaps some ninja). But I am not aiming at describing what the STAP is all about, I am pretty sure you know.

As my players rolled up new characters I now have difficulties to see them as STAP-characters. Here they are:

Gar'Shek (NG male half-orc druid 1; shifter druid from PHBII)

Lucil (LG female Rhenee cleric 1 of Wee Jas; domains: magic, spell)

Orba (CG female Suloise barbarian 1; flaw: gullible)

Piet Flickbert (NG male Oeridian rogue 1)

See I have no problem with each individual character but I simply miss the pirate-and-demon-thing.
Perhaps I should ask them on their future plans namely prestige classes or such? But the rogue and the barbarian are the only ones I can think of as Dread Pirate, Legendary Captain or Scarlet Corsair.

Any ideas?

I wouldnt' worry about it too much. The pirates and demon flavor will come through plenty in the adventure from your end, so if the players aren't totally "STAPish" I think it's ok. I think your players would resent you trying to pigeonhole their characters into something they don't want to be. If they're playing characters they really want to, then everyone will have fun.
