FR STAP: Wee Jas = ?

Savage Tide Adventure Path

Just curious as to which deity people are exchanging for Wee Jas in a realms adaptation of STAP? No realms god seems to have a similar set of portfolios or have a comparable character so I’ve hit a dead end.

One thing I am leaning towards is just making some kind of localized celestial paragon (or maybe even a fiendish patron) with similarities to Wee Jas but apart from that I’m quite stuck.

I’m interested to find out how others have remedied this. :)

Well...there's Velsharoon.

In the Age of Worms adventure path conversion, I suggested a local cult, the Cult of Ascended Lovers, mixing worship of Kelemvor and the previous aspect of Mystra.

For Tashluta, I suggested Savras, more for the role he plays in the Tashalar and less for the close correspondence of the match. However, a southern church of Savras, already and obscure god, can easily be portrayed with a darker aspect, much like the Church of Wee Jas.

Velsharoon was once mortal, how long has he been a god for now? Over seven hundred years?

Savras was locked away for some time in the staff of Azuth, how long was he confined to this prison?

How about Jergal? He's not evil, but creepy in a Wee Jas kind of way.

Jergal is probably the deity I will go with for pure ease of use but I absolutely love the essence of Greyhawks Wee Jas. Having a goddess with the portfolios of vanity, death, magic and law is quite a potent and seductive combo! One thing I need to know is her attitude towards undead, does she allow the use of mindless undead, or is she much more like Kelemvor and opposed to the use of such things and call for their destruction? I guess she (as a funerary goddess) is opposed to them, I ask this because I wish to know how corrupt I can make her followers.

Thinking about how Toril has many interloper deities and how lots of them are from real world mythology: Tyr, the mulhorandi pantheon etc.
Wee Jas is very much like (IRL) Persephone or even Odin so perhaps I could make her one of those deities that quietly snuck into the realms for my STAP?

Another option I’m going for ties directly into the Year of Lightning Storms and the resurgence of Xymor in the setting. The lightning strikes that bombard the continent of faerun during the year 1374 are very important to the draconic deities as the impact points can mark the site of fallen meteors (that are actually dragon eggs).
Many of these eggs have been taken by the church of Tiamatt back to Unthalass, while the poor church of Bahamut/Xymor has managed to claim only a few.

The coming war between these two is certainly hotting up!

As I have a dragonborn PC confirmed for our gang, I might go with Wee Jas as the draconic deity Chronepsis or maybe an aspect of him and have Sasserine (the woman) as a dragonborn or draconic blooded. The dragonborn in faerun are coming back into the limelight now that Xymor has returned to lesser deityhood and decided to step up his game. The great cycle has turned and dragons are set to play a more important role in faerun (or so Dragons of Faerun hints), not sure how I can get all this to gel with the savage tide yet but I’ll give it a shot.

The realms novel Blackstaff seems to point towards the lightning storms of 1374 starting in the month of Uktar/November so I would have to start my campaign off very late into the year or send the dragonborn PC a vision showing him the lightning strike/fall of a dragon egg near Sasserine or even the Isle of Dread later in the year.
The egg could fall into the hands of cultists of Demogorgon if he is unlucky!

:)
