Ok, with some nasty ruledigging one of my players have come up with a way to make Timestop last 24 hours.
Cleric of Olidammara 17th lvl, with trickery domain(9th lvl spell, Time Stop.)
Feats; Extend Spell, Persistent Spell(Comeplete Arcane), Divinemetamagic(Complete Divine)...
Persistent Spell allows the character to extend the duration of a spell with description of personal for 24 hours, although it increases the effective spell level by 6.
Divine Metamagic allows the character to spend turn/rebuke undead attempts to get rid of the increasing in in spell level. Making the effective spell level of Time Stop 9th, if he spends 6 turn/rebuke undead.
Voilá! Time Stop for 24 hours...
What would you guys do in this case? Is this problem known from before?

I just looked over both of those books, and by the letter of the rules, that would be a legal manuever. However, I think this was unintended, as the ability to stop time for long time periods is just too much bs, bs, bs til you hear oink, as we used to say.
Of course, at the same time, there is little they can do (other than run away/move unattended items farther distances) than a normal time stop allows, except for a few spells that take a while to cast.

Absolutely allow it. If your player is willing to invest all of those feats in order to accomplish things like that, you shouldn't shoot it down. But something your player might not be aware of is that there are some pretty powerful creatures that resent abuse of time alteration and exist solely to bring them to justice or "remove" them. I refer to the inevitibles, specificially the kolyarut (I think) in Fiend Folio. Check it out. They are very cool and very powerful and make great foils for PCs that like to abuse spells like time stop, wish, and spells of that nature.

I don't have either of the books in front of me (they're about a 30 minute drive away from my law school) but I took a look at the SRD and Time Stop does not have a dismissible duration, so there's a nasty way to let your player have his cake and force him to eat it too...
When he uses the combo you described, he's subject to the limitations listed in the spell description (can't target a creature with a spell, spells with a duration begin to run while in time stop, etc.) and because clerics can only regain their spells at specific times DURING THE DAY he can't use the 24 hour time period to recover his spent spells. Add to this the facts that he can't exit the time stop before the 24 hours are up, he has to eat sometime during this 24 hour period, and he ages during the time stop as normal and you'll find he has less and less use for the combination. For additional nastiness look at the alternate rules for time stop in the ELH.
Then there's the type of Inevitable that controls/protects the time stream (can't remember the book it's in) as mentioned in the thread on this topic, or the Chronotryn (raven like creature with time controlling abilities covered in one of the MM's). Or add a dragon with the spell stowaway epic feat and they'll be really surprised. (One of my cleric PC's also used his time stop spell in creative ways, he really didn't like this tidbit...)
Finally, DM Fiat applies, if you don't like a player's idea because of game balance, tell him why and don't allow it. Or if you don't like to use that card, make sure they reap what they sow.
Usually my players don't try to abuse the rules in my games. They find I'm not as nice when I'm irked....
Player: "What do you mean there's a great wyrm red dragon in the time stop with me for the next 24 hours?!?!"
DM: ::grins as he rolls some dice::
