If I ordered a subscription to Dungeon before this month's issue was shipped, would I be receiving this month's issue as my first one? It was ordered, I think, around September 8th or 9th. Thanks!

The septembre issue is the one that was shipped around mid-july (138).
The 1st STAP installment is in issue 139 (october) and was shipped before your subscription (around mid august).
I guess you'll receive issue 140 (november) as a 1st issue, since it was sent the 19th of september.
Either this one or issue 141 (only 10 days elapsed between your subscription & the shipping : I don't know if it's enough for you to get issue 140 !!).

A Dungeon sub ordered on Sept 8 or 9 would start with Dungeon 141 (the cut-off for an issue is about two weeks before it ships). If you send us an email with the subscription information (name and address), we can verify that for you.
