Druidic Astrologers in Sasserine

Savage Tide Adventure Path

To all out there who have access to the Player's Guide, what would be some possible reasons/motivations for a druid character and/or an astrologer regarding coming to/living in Sasserine? Just looking for a way to tie in a PC character (Aventi druid, max ranks profession astrologer; using the astrology rules from a recent Dragon Magazine)

Thanks in advance for your input!

The district of Sunrise has Standing Stone Park, which is hinted to be the site of at least some druidic activity (and since standing stones in the Real World were generally used as great calenders...). Also, in the Merchant District, there is a small shrine to Celestian the Far Wanderer, the god of the stars.

Astrologer? He saw it in the stars to come to Sasserine? The stars in the south are much more clear and the faint ones can be seen better than in the north, which is obscured by the smoke and smog from the Greyhawk Wars?

Liberty's Edge

Druid--lotsa untamed woodlands/jungle(?) around Sasserine.
Astrologer--maybe some ruins of Mayan-like peoples who were also astronomically talented, with a highly sophisticated calendar to study(?)
Essentially, the same reason nouveau-druid types are drawn to the Yucatan in this day and age.

Thanks a bundle! You guys are awesome! This is exactly what I needed! Mayhaps I'll put a rumor of some supreme astrologers who once lived on a far away island thats now a savage land.

Thanks again!
