My current position in life prevents me from joining or hosting a regular gaming group. But my hunger to run a game burns hotter than ever. This is how I aim to solve the situation. I am going to locate a long adventure or short couple adventures that would take two good length sessions to complete, 6 to 8 hours each maybe. My local gaming store has a room I can rent to play in for about 5 dollars per day (awesome right). I am then going to post on the bulletin board for players who want to participate in "Two Days of Gaming." I want to do this each month. The assistance I am asking from for you guys here on the boards is, what long adventures have you seen, played, ran or read about that you think would work well for this? I already have the three adventure arcs from the magazine and one of them might be short enough I think but I want to broaden my options. These can be published adventures; Wizards, Paizo or otherwise. Also, do any of you have any suggestions for running a game for players the entire lot of which you have pretty much never met? I will plan at least one short get together before the game to go over characters, house rules and such, but for the most part the players will be unknown to me.
Thanks for any advice and adventure suggestions that you have to offer.

Consider looking into the pre-made adventure "Red Hand of Doom." It's a five part adventure, but if you're willing to devote a bit more time than usual, and you are better at avoiding distractions than my group of ADD players, you might be able to get through in 2 or 3 nights. I thought it was a pretty good module.

I did look into Red Hand of Doom, and though it looks awesome, it may be a little long winded for my goals. Has anyone else out there seen any cool published adventures that would work well for two decent length game sessions.
I plan to create my own adventures also, especiall for october. A couple current threads here on the boards have gotten my wheels turning with regard to that month. But I would like to start this whole experiment with a already published adventure.
Thanks for your suggestion, are there any others out there?

Any of the published modules out there can be a lot of fun, depending on the level you want to play (and whether or not your local book store/game store has them in stock). I personally loved Sunken Citadel. It could easily be a two-day adventure if everyone stays focused...
Otherwise, you might be able to find The Fright at Tristor, which was another good one. Nice, short, low-level (you don't spend half your day making characters if the game is low-level). Tristor in particular had a nice, neat ending.
