Making Alhaster memorable

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Has anyone done something special to make the time the PC's spend in Alhaster memorable? How about during the feast?

Are you crazy? Have you read the modules that take place there? And you're concerned that something needs to be done to make Alhaster "memorable"? If the description of the town and its encounters or the feast even sounds vanilla or dull to you, I'm sorry but I have no suggestions on how to spice things up. Alhaster, IMO, is the most interesting, bizarre community I've seen in a looong time with boatloads of offbeat characters and scenarios. My group isn't this far yet but adjusting the town to make it more memorable isn't at all a concern for me. Can't help ya buddy.

heh, sorry bout that, what I really should have been asking was was there any specific scenes or descriptions you have used to get the "flavor" of Alhaster across to the PC's. Convesations with a commoner or an altercation with one of the Blessed Angels. Describing things is not one of my strong points, and I like to hear how other people present settings so that I may learn from them and improve upon this deficit of mine.

I meant no offense, this is a very well written and increadibly flavorful adventure and city. I just have PC's that tend to rush thru things and I'd like them to stop and take notice of the scenery for once.

Someone earlier ran a thread describing how his wife had concocted approximations of the various courses in the banquet and actually served the dishes as the role playing proceeded. (He included recipes--it sounded like a really cool way to do the banquet).
