I was going over several of the upcoming modules to familiarize myself with the tactical details this weekend, and I came across several stat blocs with the "Awesome Blow" feat or special ability. It sounds very familiar, but I can't find it listed anywhere. Could someone kindly point me to the source, so I can note it in my margins for future ref?

It is a monster Feat.
Quoting the SRD (http://www.wizards.com/d20/files/v35/MonsterFeats.rtf):
AWESOME BLOW [GENERAL, FIGHTER]
Prerequisites: Str 25, Power Attack, Improved Bull Rush, size Large or larger.
Benefit: As a standard action, the creature may choose to subtract 4 from its melee attack roll and deliver an awesome blow. If the creature hits a corporeal opponent smaller than itself with an awesome blow, its opponent must succeed on a Reflex save (DC = damage dealt) or be knocked flying 10 feet in a direction of the attacking creature’s choice and fall prone. The attacking creature can only push the opponent in a straight line, and the opponent can’t move closer to the attacking creature than the square it started in. If an obstacle prevents the completion of the opponent’s move, the opponent and the obstacle each take 1d6 points of damage, and the opponent stops in the space adjacent to the obstacle.

Or the GO BLOW feat which requires TOTALLY GNARLEY BLOW as a prereq, which then allows for each person so catapulted to strike others like some chain lightning made flesh aka the MEAT PUPPET DOMINO feat. Did I mention that Odin's ominous laughter sunders the sky each time this feat is used?
And you don't want to be anywhere near the Allfather when he's eating Tex-Mex.

Is that cause the worm at the bottom of a bottle of Mezcal remind them too much of Jorgmundandr, the midgard serpent, and the day of final reckoning? Or are their lil wiking tum tums simply too weak for the stuff?

Woops, my group has been using this wrong for some time now... I've been allowing the group's Ogre/Fighter to use it as part of a full-round action too, which when hasted means he's had up to three Awesome Blow attacks in a round (actually up to four, once you include Cleave). Not a major, except in one case where he used it to propell one of the dwarves from Pitch Blade above the 40' height restriction in the Champion's Games (that one annoyed the crap out of the dwarf, as well as Raknian, ha ha, as DM I thought it was creative and funny).
I guess that's about to change starting tonight...
