Does dragon still have a Beastiary article?

And if so, are they likely to accept queries/submissions for it?

I sure hope so. I have 2 articles ready to go, if so!

I don't know if they are still called "Dragons Bestiary" any more, but I am pretty sure that they still do accept new monster articles.

Dragon still accepts new monsters, but doesn't run the Bestiary at this time. They do periodically run monster articles, and I think the plan is to do a Creature Catalog every year, but I'm not sure since I live on the other magazine.

Maybe Dungeon needs to steal the Bestiary from Dragon as a new page in the campaign workbook?

Back off Jacobs.

We do still accept monster queries and run them quite frequently. Every year, we also plan to run a Creature Collection, the next of which is coming together now. It is probably not too late to get into it, but I would suggest you send your query soon.

Hey Jason,

If a monster (or something else) is just a small, non-central piece of a rejected query, can/should it be re-queried as a different type of article: as part of a bestiary or ecology for instance? Or should it be avoided as it was already associated with a rejected query? Thought I should ask to avoid your wrath later. :D

Thanks much.

I would avoid resending the monster. Generally, if we liked it enough to print it, we would have asked for it separately, but thanks for asking.

It makes a lot of sense to feature new monsters in Dungeon magazine.

Heck, if a new monster appears in an adventure, there should be a Monster Manual-style page devoted to that monster somewhere in the magazine (at the very end of the adventure is where they used to put them in older issues).

I for one would love to illustrate some new monsters for submission to Dragon or Dungeon. Anyone know how to submit a portfolio for consideration as a contributor? For that matter does anybody have a new monster or monsters they are planning to submit that need art? You can view some of my work at www.cerberusart.com

Wow!

I hope that Paizo allows you to illustrate for them if they are looking for more illustrators.
Your work is awesome!

Thanks buddy! I'm working on it!
