Mangh-Michto, the high Kuo-toa cleric, reacts as follows when he hears combat in his temple: Puts on his armor (4 minutes), casts a bunch of spells, and then goes out to the temple.
For my campaign, when MM gets there he'll find his fellow clerics dead and Aushanna gone. How should MM respond to that:
A) He assumes Aushanna is chasing the invaders through the temple. He runs through the the whole structure, screaming Aushanna's name, trying to find her so he can help.
B) He assumes Aushanna was defeated but guesses that the invaders must have suffered greatly. He sneeks through the complex trying to locate any allies (I imagine he goes to the mummy, then Dhorlot) and then tries to find the invaders. He might try some hit and run tactics.
C) He's scared. He peeks out from behind his door and will attack anyone returning to area 5.
D) The jig is up. He decides it's best to flee.

It really depends how the party is placed. Are they near death, badly damaged, slightly damaged or fresh as daisy's? If the first one is the case I would leave them be and have MM either hide or flee. If the second is true send MM in on his own as a hit and run. If the third is the case then send MM, the mummy and the half dragon after them and if they are barely damaged I would add a few helpers to the troop as well.
Whatever you decide - good luck and keep us posted

I'm not much of a fan of the "monsters adjust their tactics based on DM knowledge" school of DMing. Personally, I'll continue the "crazy fanatic" thinking from area 1. Mingh can't believe that Aushanna, sent personally by his god, could possibly be defeated so he'll assume she's chasing down the PCs. He'll emerge from his room, look around puzzled for a moment, and then scream out "AUSHANNA! WHERE ARE YOU?" before running off to find her.
