I'm running AoW in FR, and I made Theldrick a cleric of Bane, The Faceless One (who I made into a necromancer) and his apprentices worship Myrkul, and Grallak and his grimlock goons pay homage to Bhaal.
Since none of my PCs are wizards, clerics, or bards, there's no need for me to be specific about the signs. It's pretty convenient, actually. I haven't really made a bit deal about Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul. As far as the PCs are concerned, the Ebon Triad is a cult that is dabbling in dark arts connected to Filge's "green worm in a jar."
Concerning the Ebon Aspect, I kept things simple. I didn't use the stats in the module. I replaced the Aspect with a babau demon. I also replaced the cold pool with a pool of acid. The babau has a comparable CR, its CE suggesting that the cultists are in fact insane and have no reasonable chance to bring back Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul, AND the acid the demon exudes is directly connected to the pool of acid. There's also the chance that it gates in a friend, so that could also be kewl.

It was mentioned that the ebon triad is trying to bring about the return of these three dead gods if u set the AP2 in the realms. Was this expanded upon or was it just an idea,
How did it get worked into the storyline any one help a desperate DM.
