Whilst reading my copy of the Roleplaying Tips newsletter, there is a petition going on to re-release the Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas, either for sale again with Campaign Cartographer 2, or, joy of joys, a brand new version.
Now, I have the Interactive Atlas, and I have to tell you, it is fantastic for anyone running the Realms. Heck, even if you don't, you are able to zoom from the Realmspace view alllllllll the way down to a city layout or even a floor plan of a building.
Go forth and sign the petition and hope to see the Atlas in the light of day again!

Signed :) I just wish i didn't have to throw my email down the muddy banks of spam whenever i do anything online. When it gets to the point where I pay cash for something in a real store and they have to have my email or phone # it pisses me off.
Send me an email at dm.lilith@gmail.com and I'll send you a GMail Invite. You can use it to funnel all your mail through it for places that you're not sure will send you Stuff Posing As Mail.

Brains are like rye bread to you zombie and mindflayer types.
mmm...rye bread
I signed the petition as well--the original atlas is going for like $175 on e-bay--some desperate Realms fans out there.
$175? hmmm.....nah, I couldn't bring myself to sell such a classic bit of software.

The electronic atlas is indeed very handy and I used it for years!
But do anyone of you remember the old brown book - THE FORGOTTEN REALMS ATLAS?
It had all maps of the places where the first couple of FR-nocels played, with time notes on who has been where when, and so on...
It had some cool maps (especially the tower of the Arcane Brotherhood in Luskan!).
