What is the biggest post / thread?

Off-Topic Discussions

Wow have you guys read the Elf Hate thread? Is there any thread that has so many very long posts as that one; sheesh. I wonder what the longest thread is, prolly the 3 word game; what thread has the most words or characters and what is the has the record for the most popular thread in terms of being active and responded to over time. I also wonder what is the longest post and who did it. Anyone know these Guiness book type stats for Paizo messageboards?

Liberty's Edge

The Is there a Black Hole over at Paizo thread is over 1100 post long...

Liberty's Edge

I think the way to get a long thread going is either to start an Eberron vs. Greyhawk 'discussion' or to have a somehow negative opinion of Tolkien.

I thought the way to get the longest thread is to spell "rogue" right;>

Rouge and rougue are both in the urban dictionary, so they're all right.

As of right now....

1,407 posts: Three Word Game, Anybody?
1,145 posts: Is there a black hole in the submissions room at Paizo?
679 posts: Age of Worms Overload (now in the archives)

I don't have stats on wordcounts, but if I had to guess, it would probably be The Destiny Stone - Las Vegas, NV (it's in fifth place, with 315 posts, but campaign journal posts tend to have higher wordcounts).

Liberty's Edge

Munchkinism--that too is a real hot topic. Everybody has to throw in or throw down all over town.

Well Im proud to have posted on The Destiny Stone quite a few times.

Also, I really dislike Tolkien's style of writing. Does that count?

What you mean you don't like Tolkien!!!!!

Just kidding.
I think the rant thread has the what it takes to go the distance. The world is just too irritating to too many people, and it will never change.

Hey! Does beyond Destiny Stone add to the Count to Destiny Stone?

Thanks all, esp o' great Postmonster General, any of you lurkers and surfers out there wanna find the longest post? I would be downright embarrassed if it turns out to be one of mine, but think I am safe.

Elf hate has some pretty long ones too, but those are spread out over a few threads about the coolness of kobolds and whatnot. Some of the "what is wrong with my query to Piazo about my idea" posts are pretty long also.

Kudo's to whoever finds the longest post; as a gm; I bestow this quest on any who wish to look; can you see the golden repeatable quest exclaimation point over my head; look close; ! hehe, reward; well, I got some nice jokes and a limirick or two :)

A new monster manual gets people talking. 40 posts in less than 24 hours. Even though..uh...one or two jabber jaws are responsible for the most of them....(dwoiks, who, me?)
Nobody cares much about Captain Kirk, though.
The one about working in the U. S. A. has a lot of potential.

People who post multiple times in the same thread drive me crazy...

If you really want to see some traffic, start a thread and title it "Greyhawk is for munchkins - why Eberron will be the new core setting"

Liberty's Edge

Meh...I only posted 8 times there. I'm just being neurotic.

It's one of the nicer arguments I've seen; I wonder when it is going to devolve into monkeymen fighting over a watering hole a la 2001:A Space Odyssey like most of the Eberron Vs. Greyhawk: Powergamers of the Clone Munchkin Wars threads.

Ok; I raised this post up from the bowels. Can we get an update; some of these religion posts are getting very long; am once again wondering what post has the record for the most reply threads and which post and by whom is the post with the most real added characters; maybe with or without the reply quotes; is interesting stuff, but man is some long winded and some of these games have a lot of pages like 3 word game.

Thanks Gary Teter for the last update. :) and no; to all you out there this is not a challenge to be more loquacious; hehe

A treatise on "quality" versus "quantity" for the most part...

Ooh, how about something like "Eberron is so much better than Greyhawk because it is less tied to Tolkien c**p".

For the record, I think LotR is one of the most overrated books in the world.

I also wonder what is the most read thread, as itself or as readers/posts ratio (and if I should start thread titled "Sex and D&D")

We don't track that information at the thread level.

Long live the Untitled thread!

Scarab Sages

Whoa....

Memories
Light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were

I can't believe I'm still alive 5 years later.
