I was able to pick them up at Barnes & Noble and my local comic book store. The Dark Elf Trilogy is the best of them, so far. I've gotten both Homeland and Exile and despite my initial reservations, I'm quite impressed. The artwork is clean, the coloring is fantastic, they managed to capture the feel of the story without having to go into every little detail that's told in the novels.
The Dragonlance Chronicles (Autumn Twilight, so far) have left me a bit underwhelmed, I'm sorry to say. While the coloring style is more painterly, I wish they'd spent more time either inking it cleaner or doing a straight painted effect, rather than a dark and gloomy mish-mash of both of them. The Chronicles were the first D&D novels that I read (all three books in one weekend - I was 12), so I might be looking at them through a nostalgic eye.
So - get the Dark Elf trilogy, I think you'd be impressed, the Dragonlance Chronicles if you so desire.

Amazon.com is the way to go. You can get great deals there from pretty much anywhere you can get internet and mail. They are my bread and butter for gaming stuff. I just got the Dragonlance comic, and speaking as someone who's never had much love for Dragonlance it is MIGHTY FINE. The art is beautiful and really gives Dragonlance the feel of dark hardcore seriousness that I felt it's always been lacking.
The Dark Elf series on the other hand was a dissapointment. It looks okay, but the drow just don't look like drow. The drawing isn't bad, but I just couldn't get over how clean and bright and pretty the Underdark was and how unimpressive all the drow looked. Those guys need to read more Dragon....

They are from Devil's Due-you can see what the most recent ones are at their website. Older issues are collected into trades, but each series ois released as individual issues first. They also do some Eberron comics if you like that setting. The Crystal Shard is the current Drizz't adaptation being released as individual issues. You should be able to get them from any store that orders from Diamond, however some may nothave them in stock and you may have to special order them through the Previews catalog. Game stores that use Alliance distributors (which is a partner/subsidiary of Diamond) should have them or be able to get them as well. The trades amy be available at bookstores or Amazon, etc. and there are many online comics vendors where you can order the individual issues and/or the back issues if you prefer to shop online. Try Midtown Comics, Westfield Comics, etc.
