Ok, I was reading through the Prison Mail in #135, and on page 12, Erik (?) mentioned incorporating Heroes of Battle (among other supplements).
Seeing as how I saw this response just a day after watching the Two Towers DVD again, I'm thinking about putting together a query of an adventure using these elements.
Now the question is... how much of the word count do you figure would be taken up by reprinting some of the optional rules (probably in abbreviated form) such as Victory Points, the expanded morale check rules, etc?
That's interesting. I'm always interested in seeing how Paizo uses the books. I wonder if we'll see any dread commando NPCs, or perhaps there will be some tactical applications spelled out so we can see how others make use of the rules. Those tactics sections are the first things I look for in a new issue (especially concerning boss monsters).
It'd be great to see a module that involves large-scale tactics as a whole, allowing PCs to either lead or participate directly in the melee (or function in an archery unit, or a stealth kill unit, or a combat medic unit, or an artillery unit, etc.). Dungeon never ceases to amaze me, so who knows?
I'd like to see it myself. I had a recent query that incorporated Heroes of Battle elements that was turned down, but it never made it past the Render so I don't know the specific reason for the refusal. I guess I wouldn't want to know ("sorry, but your pathetic adventure idea is laughable and your vain attempt to use a new Wizards product to shoehorn it in didn't help you.")
Hmmm. I wonder if that means the adventure I sent in before the grand werecabbage conspiracy of '05 is being updated (the Heroes of... books had yet to show up on the store shelves back then) in preperation to print. Hmmm.

PS on reading it again Erik just says he's curious as to whether or not such third-source-book on the left sort of material would good to include in upcoming Dungeon adventures, not that there is some slated to happen anytime soon.
