I seem to recall, within the last year reading in Dragon that the D&D Cartoon was going to be released on a trial basis in England.
My question is was it released? Did it sell well enough to bring it to the USA? Is it still for sale and would a UK version be compatable here? My VHS's have finally given out on me.

i'm kinda curious about that myself, as i've been looking forward to putting a DVD collection of the D&D cartoon beside my Thundercats DVDs.
I heard there were quality issues with the Thundercats DVDs... any truth to that?
I'd love to see the D&D cartoon out myself... though I'm something of a cartoon nut, and would also love to see SilverHawks, among other things.

While I'm still waiting for an official US release some digging turned up a couple of reviews of R2 versions:

As for compatibility, unless you've a region-free player it won't play on a R1 (North America) DVD player. At one point I thought Rhino was set to release the series in the US but nothing so far (I dropped a suggestion in their "suggestion box".)
eBay usually has the series available, either the official R2 versions or homemade ones. Even if they turn out a little rough to watch at least they won't degrade further like your VHS tapes.
