Greyhawk - Map of City of Gradsul?

3.5/d20/OGL

Does anybody out there have a map of Gradsul that I can have?

I have Dungeon magazines Challenge of Champions #5 set to happen in Gradsul during the Richfest in a few weeks. I was wondering if there already existed a map of the city.

Thanks in advance to any who can help!

As far as I can tell, Gradsul was never mapped in a Greyhawk product. However, a description of Keoland, including Gradsul, was published in the Living Greyhawk Journal #1. It's also available at the WOTC site. Check out www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=lg/lgmp/20030515. I tried to see if there was anything available at the Living Greyhawk Keoland site was seemed to be down.

Thanks Hagen!

I have the material you mentioned and am going to set up a "San Francisco" type setting for the port city. I even have the city guards own version of Alcatraz in the works. I thought it was a great idea that the adventurers are kept a little seperate from the rest of the city in the warehouse district.

If anyone else has mapped out the city before and would like to describe how and what they did, I would be all "ears".

P.S. Anyone know how to get a dragonkin to play fair?

I am running a game set in northern Keoland and have been finding that there are very few Keoish cities that are fully mapped. So I started working on my own. If anyone has any maps of Niole Dra hook me up. My party will be working their way south eventually so I'd be willing to have an info exchange with you Rath if you want.

there's a skyline sketch of Niole Dra in the Keoland PDF. Shows a good chunk of the city.

Pardon my ignorance, but what, where?

Sounds great Daigle. I am hashing out things like major industries and nobles in addition to the actual map. When I get the basic city map fully fleshed out I'll be happy to share.

I think you can find the Keoland PDF @ the D&D website. (I'm fairly sure thats where I got it) You need to then move to the RPGA site and look for Living Greyhawk articles. It should just be labeled "Keoland". The article was about 30 pages and contained an awesome map of Keoland that I handed out to my players.

It seems like readers are missing the web address for the Keoland PDF given in the second post above.

While I'm at it, does anyone have the coats of arms for the major houses in Keoland? Just a description and major colors would be great.

Daigle - Have a basic topographical map finished. Will keep you posted.

So how is that map of Gradsul coming? I could use it this weekend.

Glad you asked Hand! My campaign has moved on from the city, but the players all found the maps, city descriptions and NPC's I worked up to be very memorable. I must confess I don't know any way of posting the material, but have it all scanned into my wife's computer. If you care to trust me with your email address, I would be more than happy to ZIP it all in a file and email it to you.

Or, if someone out there can give me a brief rundown on how to post it some other way?

I have no worries about copyright or anything like that. I'd be flattered if someone thought it was good enough to use in their own games. :-)

I'll check back later today for your reply. :-)

Do you know canonfire ? It is THE website for fancreated stuff for Greyhawk, perhaps you could post it there for downloading.

Stefan

Roth, email me the stuff and I'll host it on DM Tools.

Wow! I almost completely forgot about this thread. I'll try to scan and post my Gradusl as well. My map doesn't have alot of detail, but I still like the layout. I gave mine to my carto-geek but he went all crazy with the bare-bones and didn't heed any of the things I saw important to the city and we ended up with a huge map of a city that could be Gradsul in 200 years.

Thanks Lilith! Working on condensing the material a little. I doubt to many 5MB scans of my bad hand writing would go over very well with every one. :-)

Copying most of the relevant material over to microsoft Word. Will post as soon as I'm done.

Lilith should hopefully have the material now.

God bless all the folks out there who actually have a clue how this whole system works. I hope it gets to the folks who need it and everyone feel free to check it out when Lilith gets it all posted. Many thanks Lilith for offering a place that the material can be viewed!

If there are any questions regarding the maps or guilds or other info, please post them here and I'll be happy to answer. :-)

I should take this oportunity to plug for Liliths website:

DM Tools
www.dmtools.org

Its a great cache of pregenerated stuff for DM's like myself who sometimes don't have the time to sit down and come up with stats for that swashbuckling elf or half orc/half ogre barbarian.

Check it out! :-)

Great plug! It had been a while since I've contributed so I just dumped 8 new stat blocks there. Thanks for all the work Lilith! - and all of the other contributors!

Lilith, did you get the email I sent you? Felt bad when Hand of Mystra did not get their info for this weekend. Anything I can do to help?

I did not...:( Send it to dm.lilith@gmail.com . :D

Ok,sent it to the website, my mistake. Will never get a Tech award. :-)

That seemed to work, again any questions don't hesitate to ask folks. Thanks again to Lilith. :-)

I know its been awhile for this old thread, but is there any way I can get a copy of that Gradsul city information (I could not find it on DM Tools)?

I just inherited a PBP group adventuring there and am hopeful I won't have to create the whole city 'on the fly'.

If possible, could someone send any maps/info to chuck_smiley - at - yahoo - dot - com.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help a buried DM out.

Sadly, I moved past my Gradsul mission not but a month or two after my last posting here. I never completely finished my map and it was just pencil on paper. I'm sure someone else would have something better. All apologies my fellow Keoish enthusiast.

I ran a Greyhawk PBeM campaign form the mid-90's to late 2000s, and created Gradsul for that campaign - here's the maps I created in Paint using a mouse (don't expect a work of art) with all the districts I named and created.
