FR Ebon Triad deities

Age of Worms Adventure Path

Liberty's Edge

I am hoping to start DMing the Age of Worms tonight. I am using the Forgotton Realms Campaign Setting (its the only one I own).

The AoW Overload says that the deities for the Ebon Triad in the Forgotton Realms should be:
Bane (instead of Hextor)
Bhaal (instead of Erythnul) and
Myrkul (instead of Vecna)

However, looking through the list of deities in the FRCS I see no Bhaal or Myrkul. I also cannot find them in Faiths and Pantheons.

Unless somone can point me to the information for these deities, I plan on using:
Beshaba (instead of Bhaal) and
Velsharoon (instead of Vecna)

Are these appropriate choices or would another work better? Where is the info for Bhaal and Myrkul?

Thanks.

You can't find Bhaal or Myrkul, because they died 15 years prior in the Time of Troubles.

The Ebon Triad want to form an uber-god of death. Velsharoon is a good choice. IMO, Beshaba is not.

For my FR campaign, I used Cyric (former and briefly god of death), Myrkul (dead god of death with fanatic followers still wandering around), and Velsharoon (demigod of undeath trying to get ahead).

If you need stats on Bhaal or Myrkul, they are described in Lost Empires of Faerun, and there is a feat that allows characters to receive spells from dead deities.

I thought Bane, Malar, and Loviatar would be the best fit for FR, considering their interests and history. *shrug* Whatever you think makes the most sense and works for you.

I like Bane, Malar, and Cyric, even though Cyric and Bane wouldn't go well together. You'll have to forgive my lack of FR diety know-how, because I am half-way through the Life in Faerun section of the FRCS. I just got it, so I haven't looked at the dieties yet.

I am running the AoW in the Forgotten Realms as well. I am using Bane, Bhaal and Myrkul. I found information on these gods from various sources but I think the best one is the Faiths and Avatars the second edition book. I really don't think there is any problems with using these gods. Of the adventures that I have read, only the Three Faces has any of their faithful in it, so as far as I can see... it's really nothing to worry about.

Additionally, the advantage of using Bane-Bhaal-Myrkul is that you will be able to use Eric L. Boyd's conversion as is. It seems that he has some specific plan about the Ebon Triad and its machinations (involving Jergal, etc.).

The few info we have received from him so far sounds promising, so I would rather go with this version.

You can find information on Bhaal and Mykrul in the FR:Lost Empires supplement....Also if you have time it wouldn't hurt you to read the Time of Troubles trilogy to get an idea about the way these gods work and thier followers behaviors.

I was always a big fan of Bhaal, and I have many times used the story lines from Balders Gate PC games to tie in his ressurection.
