I'm about to run AoW within a couple of weeks and am still deciding on the rules for PC creation. The biggest dilemma I'm having comes with my desire to use the awesome Greyhawk regional feats, but don't know how to make them viable for players. I was thinking of making them free at first level, but am afraid it could throw off the power level of the game (or else have to add them to all PCs).
Has anyone else used them in their campaign and how so?

From what I recall of the Greyhawk regional feats, most of them are relatively low powered (the names and feat descriptions are all cool and appropriate for detailing Greyhawk, but the actual d20 "crunch" behind most of the feats is, dare I say, kinda boring...usually just a couple of random skill bonuses; there's not much available to boost the excitement/combat area). I don't think they'd upset the balance. Maybe just give one free to each PC...

I adapted some of the feats from Faeraun... for example, if a player wanted his PC to be a graduate of the School of Clerkship in Greyhawk... then he takes the Mercantile Background feat at character creation (+2 to appraise, +2 to craft or profession skill of choice).
Arcane Schooling and Courteous Magocracy were adapted for graduates of Univ. of Mag. Arts...
Education feat for those of Grey College...
Militia feat for those with a background in well...
I think you get the point...

I'm familiar with the Regional Feats as presented in the FR sourcebook. I like the concept and had intended to translate them to Greyhawk. That was...three years ago? Sometimes you best intentions get waylaid. Now that I see someone has referred to Greyhawk Regional Feats existing now, I've been hoping someone would slip the details of the source material. Anyone? Is this a Living Greyhawk/RPGA thing or something available to the masses?

This is something from Dragon Magazine that WotC had intended to make even more official by putting it on their website or integrating in LG (IIRC). I am not sure from which Dragon # that is, though.

The Greyhawk regional feats are in Dragon #315. The Classic Campaigns issue. Lots of good stuff in that issue.
