Age of Worms Cover Art Revelation(?)

Hey, Guys!

I was taking a look at the Paizo store's entry for the AoW cover art prints and noticed something rather odd...although the description of the art says it contains an image of a mountain with large green worms pouring out, I saw something a little different...

Without the DUNGEON logo obscuring the upper part of the image, the "mountain" looks remarkably like an enormous hunched humanoid figure with two burning eyes. The worms are actually pouring out of those fiery eye sockets. Upon closer examination, the rock of the mountain looks a lot more like the tattered remains of a cowl or hood, draped over the figure, than actual rock.

Is it possible that the image actually depicts the characters' battle with Kyuss himself? After all, he's been described already as a gigantic undead monstrosity.

It may not be the most useful bit of information, but I found the concept interesting.

Cheers!
Paris

Yea i noticed the same thing. Looks like a big worm monster with blazing eyes

I agree, I think that is Kyuss himself. Guess will have to wait another 9 months till he makes his grand entrance to know for sure.

If I confirm or deny that the shape in the background is indeed Kyuss... would that be considered too much of a spoiler?

In any event, once part 12 comes around, it should be blatantly obvious what exactly is going in that painting...

The worms and the colossal figure are the handywork of a thaumaturgist.
I disbelieve!
Can I get a Will save to dispel the illusion?

I'm twitching again! Can't wait... need the end.
