Speey Query!

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

Well, I sent off aload of different article queries the other day and lo-and-behold I got a response last night! Twist my nipple nuts and call me Frank. Considering the usual turn around for queries I've experienced with Dragon (and Dungeon) I'm purely shocked and hope that some of the others are dealt with such speed as well.

There is hope after all!

Wow - that's interesting. I've had a couple of queries hanging out there for a while now that I haven't heard anything on. When you say you heard back, did you get a, "We've received your e-mail and will get to it when time permits" type of response, or did you get acceptances/rejections?

It was an acceptance for some Bazaar of the Bizarre items. Nothing back yet for a query I sent in about four months ago, as well as the more recent stuff (like class acts etc).

Bah, there needs to be a way to edit posts/thread titles for typo's...

Aha. I know who you are, then, Neeklus. :D Yeah, I'm about halfway through responding to your Class Acts queries now. You'll usually hear back on Bazaar of the Bizarre and Class Acts faster than you will on features, just because I'm more of an email junkie than Bulmahn. ;) Actually, that's not entirely fair to Jason. Features articles have a long process they must go through to be accepted, whereas Bazaar and CA just have to make it through me. :)

Congrats on your acceptance. :)

Mike... just out of curiosity, who do ecology articles go through? You're easy after all... we all know that all we have to do to get you to accept something is agree to wash your truck ;)! And while you're at it, Spell Craft articles?

I don't think I've ever been called easy before. ;D

Wes takes care of both Ecology of... and Spellcraft articles. I don't know how slowly he responds to emails.

That'd be F. Wesley Schneider for those of you scanning the Table of Contents.
